Materials
There are serveral material which can be printed. Depending on the properties your part needs, a specific material needs be used. Part properties can excist out of strenght, flexbiliy, UV resistance or heat resistance. Below you can find a list of material being used for our services.
PLA
PLA is probably the most used 3d printing material on the market. It is cheap, easy to print and very rigid.
Pros:
Cheap
Rigid
Wide variety of colors
Smooth surfaces
Cons:
Will deform easily at highter temperature
Will deform easily when exposed to UV
Almost no flexibilty
PETG
If PLA is not suffcient enough for your part, PETG is the next thing we can consider. Its a bit more flexibly, but just as strong if not stronger.
Pros:
Stronger than PLA
Higher temperature restistance then PLA
Water-proof
Cons:
More difficult to print
Less likely to deform because of UV
The surface will not be as smooth as PLA
ASA
ASA is quite a new material. It is a high impact material that can be used to produce functional parts for automative applications, electronics, toolings, and more.
Pros:
Strong
Higher temperature restistance
High UV restistance
High checmical resistance
Cons:
Difficult to print
Expensive
Takes more time to prepare
PLA-CF
PLA-CF is all the good things of PLA, with carbon fiber partical. This will reinforce the material.
Pros:
All pros of PLA
Stronger than PLA
Cons:
A lot more expensive than regular PLA
